Here at Richmond Sand & Gravel we pride ourselves in our ability to screen and blend our very own unique blends of soil mixes ranging from budget screened bulk sandy loams to the mineral and organic rich soils perfect for vegetable gardens.
Having our own screening plant enables us to deliver a unique and extremely high quality product to suit any gardener or landscaping needs.

Soil Screening Facilities

Premium Garden Mix:

Perfect for start up gardens or vegetable patches, or excellent for topping up existing garden beds.
Combines high quality soils and sand base with 30% organic matter and manures, it is great for breaking down puggy or clay soil, drainage, and replenishes the nutrients and minerals in existing garden beds.

Screened Top Soil:

The ultimate soil blend for top dressing or preparing for turf or grass seed. Combines high quality screened black soils with a washed river sand, a fine metal dust, and chicken manure ensuring the perfect mineral rich base for the perfect lawn. Brilliant product for filling in holes, levelling or just giving your grass a good feed.

Landscape mix:

A light mix of organics mixed with a screened sandy loam base. A good quality budget mix suitable for most planting situations.

Bowling Club Soil:

Fine screened top dressing blend specifically blended for bowling clubs/sporting fields and golf clubs.
Unscreened Red Soil: rich unscreened red soil predominately used as a land fill product.
Unscreened sandy Loam: Sand / Soil rough soil base widely used as fill or for levelling.

Soilless Products:

Organic Garden Mix:

This unique product combines a variety of organics – composts & manures with a coarse washed tabulum river sand. Widely used as a soil conditioner due to its high organic and mineral content and drainage quality which improves soil quality, also fantastic in pots.

Potting mix:

Combination of composted pine fines and coarse washed tabulum sand, it is the perfect blend for cultivating seedlings potting and for transferring plants as it grips to root system ensuring minimum root damage.
